Page Turner: Prada & Prejudice (Dating Mr Darcy) by Katie Oliver

I love nothing more than curling up with a good book. Or more often these days, an e-book. It’s all terribly 21st century now isn’t it? Whilst I was browsing the Kindle store a while ago, looking for some suitably escapist holiday reading, I saw Prada & Prejudice being given away. Literally. It was free. It still is. (Go, go, go!) So I downloaded it – I’m not one for looking a gift horse in the mouth. I needed something to read whilst doing some lengthy travelling and this was perfect. I couldn’t put this down, and devoured the whole book in a couple of days.

The story is about socialite Natalie Dashwood, failing department store heiress with a spending habit and a troublesome rock star boyfriend. Her world is about to be turned upside down when high-flying executive Rhys Gordon is drafted in to help save the family business and demands she shops on a budget and has to get a job. There’s drama and laughs all around as the readers are served juicy chapters from the main characters, leaving the reader turning the page until the very end.

Prada & Prejudice contains everything I like in a book – humour, lust, romance and a healthy dose of intrigue with a fun, fast pace. I liked it so much I’m going to download the rest of the trilogy. Rumour has it a fourth book is due out around Christmas.

You can find out more about the author, Katie Oliver, at Amazon and follow her on Twitter (go on, she’s super nice!)

You can download a sample, or the full version, of Prada & Prejudice from Amazon, the Kindle app & the iBooks app – currently for free, and the other books in the trilogy are all under £2.00.

Have you read this or the rest of the trilogy? Do you have any recommendations?
